can you block ads on WP8

Hi, new here, Just upgraded from an iPhone 4S to a Nokia Lumia 920.

Its a fantastic phone and I am loving the Windows 8 however when I'm online and I try and enter a website for a football site I'm on (Soccer), when I try and click to log in, an advert on the same page takes me to a different website.

Its infuriating, It does it sometimes on Firefox in the office, but it opens a new tab there so its easy to remove.

Do any users know of any ad blockers that can work with windows phone 8?

As for blocking ads on web sites (in Internet Explorer), unless you have a developer unlocked phone I don't think there is any way (and there may not be a way even in that case). You will not find any ad blocking software in the marketplace.

If anyone else knows a way please do post.

There are other browsers (good ones) like UC browser and nokia express (if u want to save on data), maybe you can try on them and check if the issue persists

and also try tweaking settings of IE on your device from Mobile to Desktop site
