Maximum 'active' background apps allowed?

Hi all, I am just wondering what's the maximum working (live tiles, notifications, lock screen) background apps allowed on WP? Some people say 6 and some say 15... I'm not sure anymore but everytime some live tiles are not updating I just disable a few more background apps.

The question should really be, how many active background apps can the battery sustain?

I don't think there's a limit though.

Push notifications: infinite (afaik). This includes toasts, simple text live tiles.

Multi tasking switch history: like 9? Or maybe this is the 6.

Background agents: 15 I think (your picture/more complex live tiles, anything updating information in the background, etc). These are listed in "background tasks".

Multi tasking switch history is generally 7 maximum, but depending on the amount of CPU resources needed for the foreground app, the OS could reduce that limit to 5 or even less.
