It's not just Facebook Chat. People need to ignore the whole Facebook Chat not working thing - it's Micrsofts chat client as a whole not working.

It isn't true that MS - Facebook connection chat doesn't work thing.
Works fine for some but inexplicably doesn't for others with SAME configuration like me. Sounds like a random technical issue.

Nice job Microsoft!
I loved the integration of the Facebook Messages into the Message-App and i would still love this integration but it does not work! One Month ago every thing worked fine! Received and send messages - and from one day to the other - nothing worked!

I tried everything
- Removed and added Facebook account
- Reboot
- Hardreset
- GDR2 Update
Nothing helped...
That sucks very hard! Nice integration but with no functionality!
Big fail! Please don't integrate functionality which is not working as it should - its really annoying..

Further NO push notifications from the Facebook-App... what the hell!

Tried it one more time, uninstalled the Facebook app, removed the account from the phone settings, added it back and it works this time around. Who knows why, but give it one more shot. I figure we should all be well-versed at it by now.

Not really!
- Deleted Facebook Beta App
- Remove Facebook Account from account settings of my Ativ S
- Added Facebook Account back to my account settings
--> Can't connect to chat!

Since i have no skype installed, there was no need to delete it.
Remove skype from from ur mobile and give a try , it definetly works

Try checking if both wifi and data connection are open, if so turn one off because it creates conflict with the way your chat is connected. Try also refreshing the email and accounts.

Hey ..for a minute i thought this was the solution ,because i had tap+send on and was not expecting this to be the issue.
But sadly turning that off also didn't work for me.:crying:

Huh. Turned off tap+send and Bluetooth and chat started working again.

I couldn't imagine it will works when saw your comment. But it's absolutely TRUE!!!
I did the same turning off BT and Tap+Send.
Chat connection between Live Messenger and Facebook are working fine again.

Cheers, :)

EDIT: 1 hour later stopped again... Definitely I suggest to WP Central investigate this issue. People Hub Chat connection with Facebook isn't working properly!

22 hours later, I'm still connected fine. I even turned Bluetooth and tap+send back on. ESPN Scorecenter alerts are also still working.
