How do I remove email addresses from native Gmail app?

I am using the native Gmail app on a Nokia 822 Windows 8 Verizon phone. When I go to share a picture by clicking on Google mail some old email address pop up first. I am afraid I might inadvertently click on a wrong email address. Is there any way to delete old/history email address that pop up in the native Gmail app?

I wasn't aware there was a native Gmail app for WP8! Or are you talking about the WP8 email app that you have a Gmail account linked to?

you will need to remove it from gmail.com.

I don't see it as a contact in my Gmail account. I think the email address I want to remove is stored in the phone's memory. Is this possible?

It could be a MS/FB/etc contact also, right? The phone will use all of them during compose I think.
