I'm currently using a Lumia 800, still a WP7 user
Now I want to upgrade to wp8 and wondering which device to choose
currently I'm considering 920 and 1520
FYI, 925 only have 16gb version available in my country and I don't like 1020 too much
the price of 920 had also dropped recently after Nokia World announcement
should I get a 920 now or wait for 1520? will 920 get wp8.1 update? will 1GB RAM enough for the future updates?
I need advices and suggestions...

The 920 will get future updates yes, and 1gig of ram will be plenty for them. The 512 ram phones will be getting the updates too.

Personally i have the 920, and i love it. Its a perfect size and weight for me. The camera is excellent and its very smooth. But i also have a surface, so i have the tablet base covered.

The 1520 is a better phone, no doubt, but its also massive. I would suggest that if you have a tablet, get the 920. If you don't, get the 1520.

Where are you from? If you're not in the USA, get the 1520. If you're in the US, and 16GB & Qi wireless charging is not a big deal to you, get the 1520. If it is a problem, get the 920.

im not from USA
1520 is definitely better, but as I mentioned above, 920 price has dropped in my country (about half of the first launch price)
so should I buy 920 at low price or wait for 1520 at high price, does it worth to pay more for 1520?

What makes it a "better pphone?" A 1080p display on 6" may be nice, but it's not exactly leaps and bounds above 720p on the same size, and certainly not "better" than 720 on a 4.5" display. Quad core? Pretty pointless for WP. 2GB of RAM? I believe that's only to handle the extra graphics. Sure, the 1520 has a better camera than the 929, but is that something that makes a phablet worth it? Depends on preference. If camera tech is that important, the 1020 is better.

I wouldn't even consider a 920. The hardware in that phone was behind the curve when it launched, its even more dated now. The 1520 on the other hand can hang with Android's latest.

It always annoys me when people compare WP and to a certain extend iPhone specs to Android specs. Why? Cause Android pretty much needs high specs to run fluently, and even then it might lag and hiccup now and then. While WP and iOS both run super smoothly on "old generation hardware".

You might not even notice that "extra power" from the 1520s specs compared to the 920s on everyday use... On my HTC x8 it is still very snappy and fast... And that has 1gb of ram and a snapdragon s4 dual-core CPU. And like what the guy said, you have to decide if you want a phablet or a candy bar type. But in the other hand the 1520 does include some amazing extras like a neat 20mp camera, full HD screen (6 tiles), 32gb built in with expandable storage. If you want a 6" phone go ahead and get the 1520, if you want something smaller get the 920/925....A 6" screen has its pros and cons. You decide, cause for me one hand typing on a 4.7" screen is sometimes hard... Now think about a 6" screen
