Windows 8.1 Work Around for Corporate Remote Access

Today our corporate communication team (company of 14K+) informed all IT support staff to advise users who use 8.1 to either downgrade to 8.0 or advise users not to upgrade from W7 or XP. This is because 8.1 does not support our company Remote Access solution when connecting to the corporate network from their personally owned computers.

I have yet not heard what has changed to make 8.1 unfit, but we are trying to find out from Corporate and Information Security. This is going to be a challenge to get users to either downgrade to 8.0 or not upgrade from W7/XP, especially considering the advantages 8.1 has over 8.0.

Does anyone else run into this problem and have you or your staff come up with a work around? Thank you.

We've run into this issue, as well. Took two of the developers out of working from home.

I haven't heard what the root cause is, nor do I know of a work-around.
