I know it may be too early, but my upgrade is due now, and I'm hoping there will be a BF deal for a 1020.

Anyone hear any "leaks" early? Or is this thread somewhere else on this forum?

If you can hold it off for another 3 months or so, there should be an upgraded Windows Phone 8.1 being released and the price for the 1020 of course should drop a bit as well.

I really want to upgrade to Windows Phone 8. I've been on my Lumia 900 since April 2012. If the 1020 doesn't have a Black Friday deal, I will most likely get a 920.

If you are not satisfied with 920's hardware don't get it only because of the software (WP8).
Atleast I wouldn't do it. Because the OS is good, but it isn't that good just for itself.
And yes, I believe better phones should be relased soon (WP8.1) so, don't rush, chill bro!
But at the end, you can't make a very big mistake, all the phones are preety similar.
