    Why?

Because. You can never get more than 130MB app memory. Unless Microsoft choose WP to become a second Android.

Not sure which question you are 'answering', but please explain what you mean by each of your 'sentences'.

I'm answer why the OP should lock the thread. Because its pointless to have more ram usage on app that the phone only has 512mb ram.

I think that sort of explains your first two sentences, but not the third. What does this have to do with Android?

the maximum app memory an app can have on 512mb devices is 180mb. If it goes any higher, they would have to make the os kill of important tasks like voip(calling) and notifications to have gain more memory (like android does)

Not really. Must Android be the **** of every silly joke on this site?

Even ios devices with 256mb ram offer better memory management than windows phone.

Ok, I'm too lazy to watch 47 minutes of video. Can you point me to where they talk about Android killing important tasks, to the nearest 30 seconds? Also please explain what symptoms I would experience if Android does this - presumably I will have experienced this?

Sorry i was wrong about the android bit, 512mb devices are optimised to use more memory for apps than 512 mb devices on windows phone.
