I want THIS on my Windows Phone!

This is coming. We just need to have a bit patience....once RT and WP merges, you will have PC with calling capabilities in your pocket and all Windows goodies will come along.

If you think that when WP and RT merge you'll have Windows RT on your phone then you are going to be very disappointed. It's just the APIs that are merging, nothing more. No PC in your pocket with a full file management system, no desktop, no start screen backgrounds. It will be the same UI on the same OS just with some new APIs under the hood.

Actually, their long term goal is to merge the OS period. The APIs are just the first part of that process as they make cross device development seamless.

While the UIs will still be tweaked to cater to the device (like Responsive Websites) the overall OS will very close if not identical in their long term goal.
