Developers Preview Update 3 / OS Refresh?

For those that have installed the Developers Preview Update 3, will we still be able to get the official update 3 from our mobile carriers? I have a Lumia 928 from Verizon and they have not released update 3. Just wondering if anyone knows if when Verizon or other mobile carriers release update 3, will phones still get the notification that update 3 is available, even though they have the Developers Preview Update 3 already installed.

In Germany I got it. Had GDR3 preview installed on my unbranded 920 and now I'm using black

You will get an update notification. If your phone is already updated with GDR3, you will only get the firmware part of the update, however.

When updating the GDR3 preview, I lost the check box for "notify me when updates are available" in phone update settings. I am hoping that when Verizon releases the GDR3 that my OS refreshes and I get that setting back.

After installing a fresh rom from hokia with black and gdr3 then having the rev preview enabled it gave me another windows update after that also

The official release with black doesn't update to version 10521.155, its 10521, when you join the dev preview you get a 5mb download which bumps the OS to 10521.155
