Is their a way to type with Spanish characters or to use a Spanish keyboard. I like to see if it would type and spell check in spanish ? I have a Lumia 1520

Settings > Keyboard. You can download other languages.

Just go: Settings > Keyboard. Tap in + Add Keyboards and choose your Spanish Variation.
There is available: Spanish Spain and Spanish Mexico. I believe it haven't big differences like Portuguese-PT and Brazilian Portuguese, but you can choose one variation.
