I am constantly getting a Java security update warning page that is designed to be made so it cannot be closed. Does anyone know how to close these tabs without shutting down the whole browser and how to stop them from coming back? What a hack company making an uncloasable tab. Ugh.

Are you running Windows 8 or Windows RT? RT does not support Java. Install Java in Internet Explorer - Microsoft Windows Help

Surface 2 - RT. So how do I stop these annoying tabs that open demanding I upgrade my Java. Thanks for the response.

Don't go to those web sites. Any site that still runs Java applets is considered security risks these days. You will never get Java running on RT which is probably a good thing security wise.
