No 3g,edge icon

I was wondering if there is a way to get my lumia 520 to display what network mode it is on,I do not have data but it will nice to see what its on whether its on 3g or edge?

How/why do you want to see it if you don't have data?

For that, u shd hv no balance or it will get deducted.....

Because I listen to music on speakers and some times it interrupts the audio with the radio waves(I'm guessing),so it would be easier if I knew what it is on,but I guess there isn't a way.

there is. you'll have to have Lumia black and need to get into field test mode.

There is an indicator for EDGE/3G if mobile data is turned on. I haven't seen it with mobile data turned off, so I guess you're out of luck.

Yeah I just figured that out,it switches to 3g and edge but changed it to stay on 3g by dialing ##3282# and switching it on.
