can i change phones? from 920 to 1020 with developer preview?

Ok guys, i have a Rogers Lumia 920 and i bought this when it first came to Canada. and i accidentally broke ma Screen on 920 (Yah i know sad and shocked) :O
but anyways,
now i wanna try Rogers Lumia 1020, but the problem i have is this,
1. im signed in for Developer Preview updates and also ma 920 is Developer Unlocked, so if i get 1020, can i have the same features?(obviously ill b using the Same MS Account)
2. is it actually worth buying it for $0 or should i wait for new wp8.1 phones(i really dont think there will b a 1020 phone any soon though)
3. i know you cant share 38MP pics directly frm phone, but i think its possible to access 38MP pics from ur PC right? and from there i can share it right?

SO guys help me with it.. should i actually buy 1020 for anther 2 year contract? or should i order a screen replacemnt for $70 and fix it?

If you are satisfied with the perfomance of your lumia 920 , get the screen fixed , it will get windows phone 8.1 update soon , it's still a decent phone , both lumia 920-925 have same specs , lumia 1020 has the same processor but it has 2GB ram when compared to 1 GB on both 920-925.
I get a replacement from nokia , I too had dev unlocked phone , you are installing Microsoft updates , not any custom rom so you are good to go at nokia care centre
Lumia 1020 is a beast in camera but new lumia 1520 is beast in hardware specs , it is equiped with Qualcomm snapdragon 800 chipset with 2 GB ram , 16/32 GB on board storage with expandable upto 128GB , if you buy a lumia 1020 it does not have option to expand storage , also lumia 1520's 20MP pureview camera isn't bad , 1020 has 720p pure motion hd plus display where as 1520 has full hd display , both have clear black display with sunlight readability , sensitive touch screen , where as if size matters to you lumia 1020 is 4.5 in size and 1520 is a phablet , 6".
You can not share full 38 MP on skydrive or facebook , it will share only 5 mp images , where as if you copy images on your pc , you will also get dng images (raw file ) , though I still think facebook does not support 38 MP images as of now , it still compress the images somehow loss IMG some quality.
Conclusion :- if you are happy with lumia 920 , don't want to spend much money , get it repaired , want 41 MP , best camera on mobile , get lumia 1020 , or a future proof phone , with killer specs and decent camera , get lumia 1520 * if you are comfortable with the size , or you can wait for lumia 930.

yes you can , just install dev preview app and you are good to go , your Microsoft ID is tied with dev preview program

yeah dev unlock is limited to 3 phones at a time so u can unregister ur 920 as well by connecting it to ur pc via usb or even dev unlock 3 phones at once
i got dreamspark student verification recently yet to dev unlock my lumias(2 720s and an 820)
