On Windows Phone, the user can add an email account as IMAP protocol.
However, the folders list isn't user-friendly, Yahoo Mail for example.
As below is Yahoo Mail folders list on my Windows Phone. In fact, the inbox, Bulk Mail, Draft, Sent & Trash are my IMAP folders of Yahoo Mail.

Other folders(drafts, sent items & deleted items) are phone folders, these folders cannot sync to my IMAP folders of Yahoo Mail account:

  • When I delete a message from the inbox, the deleted message will be moved to phone folder(deleted items), not the IMAP folders(Trash).
  • When I send a new message, sent message is saved in phone folder(sent items), not the IMAP folders(Sent) too.
So, Windows Phone team should remove phone folders for IMAP account, or optimize the capacity for IMAP folders in the future updates.
