I've been waiting all day.....Come on Microsoft!!
Its not going to be released for another 14 hours or so... Probably 10:30 am pacific time in the US. You're going to need to hold on a bit longer :)
limit is nw increased to 3 phones
Come on Microsoft.. The update is ready.. Just release it. I can't hold on :(
we talk about the APP STUDIO ??? not the dev normal account at 20$ year ?
So this is the waiting room for WP8.1, ha ? Do I have to get a number here or wait in line, or what?
Just kidding of course.
The feature I am waiting the most for is , believe it or not, is the call duration in the history log. The absence of this little piece of information disturbed me the most when I moved from Symbian to Windows phone, and remained one of 2 thorns in my side for as long as I was using Windows Phone. Now the first thorn is finally removed, and I am still waiting for a file manager to remove the other thorn. Once I have these 2 features, my Windows Phone experience is complete, and I can tell you what I am looking for the most in the next version of WP !
3 hours for the optimistic
13 hours for the hopeful
37 hours for those who hate being disappointed
Can anyone tell me how much free phone storage might be required to update to WP8.1? I have 2.37 GB left and I hope that is fine.
you should be fine, I dont see it being more than a gig, gig and a half at the most
I believe so. Also a lesser mentioned method, but one can also dev. unlock their device with the Windows Phone 8 [S]Toolkit[/S] SDK from MS to install the preview, which is free of charge and does not require any registration of any kind to AppStudio or Windows Phone Developer Center. However, those with AppStudio and those with none can only unlock 1 device on their account. But it does mean one extra device to register in the Dev. Preview. :)
Microsoft /says/ that, but it's not actually enforced, at all.
People at Microsoft must be having some sic fun in watching us all waiting so impatiently. They must have had it ready. Release it already dammit. 😃

I think you're right ... I can maybe install it on 2 phones
It's getting annoying. Let's burn Microsoft's Headquarter!!!
maybe he use tapatalk and change the signature :P
why not try it, coz i just have 1 phone, so i cant check it work or not xD
what was the time for getting windows 8.1 dev preview
but how do you unregister a phone ? because you can do that on the xbox one but how about windows phone
dont ask the same question please, read it another page,
anybody said it will be live at 10AM Redmount or Microsoft GMT time is Pacific Standart time
I just cant wait to get it!!!!!!!!
Both my Lumia 1020 and 520 are enrolled, so again, I don't think Microsoft heavily enforces it.
I think you just need to uncheck the case in the dev preview app
OKKKKK :) I'll try it ... oo my, now i'm happy for tomorow hahaha
They seem to be sleeping peacefully(No Dev Preview Yet!)....

Indeed. However, if you please, I can make sure it actually allows it to be /installed/ on both devices, because while it says both devices are enrolled, I'll admit I'm somewhat skeptical if it'll actually let it go through.
But from what I've heard, Microsoft is very relaxed in regards to the Developer Preview, because they actually /want/ people to use it...
