No push support for gmail

Hi,

I have three Google accounts. Two app accounts, and one normal account. For the app accounts I can set my mails to sync as items arrive but I don't seem to have that option for my normal google account.

Could anyone tell me what is going wrong.

See, with my 1020, it's the other way around. I can run my Gmail through active sync without a hitch and push email is still as reliable as ever. But for some reason I can't get my Google Apps mail to do the same. Very frustrating....

How did you do this? Just add Google mail? What are you choosing to sync?

I did a hard reset after 8.1 install and added my gmail account and the default option was to sync as items arrive. Actually, it was the automatic setting, which was using sync as items arrive. Since I don't use gmail that much, I just changed it to sync every hour.
