How do i delete an application which won't open or uninstall?

Sorry to bother anyone and sorry to have this in this forum but I recently updated to 8.1.
I had Facebook Beta but uninstalled it to get the standard one. Sadly it won't open or uninstall in the conventional method. I don't want to format/reset the phone so is there another way to uninstall it?

Did you try in the Storage Sense app? I've found a Uninstall button there inside each app.

Weirdly enough the sense app says 0 bytes for apps and games but 6.46gb of other.... ekkkk

I took the risk and rest my phone. Actually runs a lot faster now
