my start screen did not get restored after a hard reset. WHY?

i did a hard reset relying on the new feature of my start screen getting backed up and restored but that wasn't the case.why? even wpcentral confirmed this feature to be there.

Did you actually back it up. I know mine worked, but I went into settings/backup/apps+settings and made sure it was. It does not back up every second, and not even once a day. Mine says the last time it was backed up was Friday, it is Sunday now.

You can backup manually also. As often as you like.

I should have been clear about that, I manually backed mine up, because it only backs up periodically.

always check your backups, and connect to wifi on restore

Yeah that was the problem....i did not manually back up the app settings....i thought it would be automatic like other backups

And now I don't see a customise tile in kids corner...do you guys also have that problem after reset
