Is Samsung better or SanDisk ? Also, an Extreme microSD in SanDisk is way more expensive than the Samsung microSD card you mentioned.
Ummm...
Nothing against SanDisk here.
I have a couple...the Samsung cards just seem very stable+never had any oddball error when benchmarking.
Where they really shine is with video transfer.
If a card can handle HD video across devices without glitching then they win with me.
Boils down to read\write stability after write burst.
A lot of cards advertise speed...great cards are stable across read\write operations.
Speed or writes per ms won't mean much if error percentage is high.

Samsung cards IMO are very stable meaning reliable.
Just a few thoughts there.
Good luck!

Since WP 8.1 allows App-installation on SD-cards, the random read speed is very important. The Max write speed is not so important, as long as it can record HD-video without shuttering.

Did you benchmark it inside the phone or inside a computer? In any case, can you post your results?

Anybody knows the actual (in reality) or official/nominal bus-speed of new Nokia Phones (or my Lumia 1520)? I'm wondering if the 4KB random read speed of this Samsung 64GB Pro 70/20 MB/s will saturate the actual read speed of new Nokia phones? In case a faster card (aka SanDisk Extreme Plus 80/50 MB/s which costs the double) won't perform any better.

FWIW - Benched my generic UHS Class1 32gb card on phone (Hardware tests app). Write speed for sdcard = 17.5Mbs, for phone 47.94Mbs. Phone does NOT lag at all w apps installed on card, upgraded from a Class6 16gb card. :excited:
