Adding album art in WP 8.1

I added art to several .mp3 and .wma files in Windows Media Player on Windows 8. All images show in File Explorer as well. When I copy them to the SD card in my Lumia 520, many of the album covers shows generic gray artwork. I've used MPAtool, but it doesn't work in WP8.1. What can I do? Thanks!

You can't do anything yet to solve this problem in WP8.1. It seems the artwork system of the music app is bugged for the time being.

I'm sure it will get fixed by the time WP8.1 hits general availability.

Having same issue, mpa tool did work as the artwork shows in Nokia mix radio but not in xbox music app

use mp3tag. that program lets you properly tag album meta data, including images. it works perfectly!

No luck here...

Interestingly enough, the WP metro app shows all artwork when it's plugged in.

I think there's some sort of caching on the files. It takes an hour or two after I update and re-save a file before the changes are shown.
