Lumia 1520 restore hanging-what to do?

I did a factory reset on my 1520 to see if it would help with reduction in battery life since upgrading to 8.1 the other day. After rebooting, I selected the restore settings option. It reached 25%, and keeps displaying a message that it's taking longer than expected, and I can abort but may end up with a partial or no restoration. Any ideas?

Make sure there power for the device and try a soft reset hold the power button and volume down button until it vibrates.
