Start with the Lumia 1020, then add:
- **Integrated** Qi wireless charging
- Snapdragon 805 (or DSP and a dedicated camera processing core)
- micro-SD card slot
- higher capacity battery

As it stands, I'm in love with my current 1020 (the size/shape is perfect right now - don't make it any bigger!!!), I just want the built-in Qi-charging (instead of the annoying charging case) and faster camera processing. Plus, it sounds like the DSP is needed for an 'always listening' Cortana =) However, I certainly wouldn't complain about increased battery life and removable storage!

5 inch AMOLED 1080p screen
Design of Lumia 1020, but thinner 20mp camera so it sits flush with the body. With xenon/led combo flash
2GB of RAM
Waterproof/resistant
Headphone jack on bottom
Snapdragon 801 processor
Integrated Qi wireless charging, no stupid case.
Updated Nokia Camera app so that settings like front facing camera work when the phone is locked.

NO F*CKING AT&T BRANDING.

That's about it.

My perfect device would have the following:
4" 1080p amoled screen
3000mAh battery
2gb RAM
32gb internal memory
Snapdragon quad core processor
8-20MP pureview with OIS
4way mics
Built by Nokia \m/
I should be able to use my phone with one hand. I don't have a chauffer and don't intend to hire one soon, I should be able to control my phone single handed without much fuss. If I need a bigger screen, I'll get a tablet instead. Its a phone.

4 inch 1080p? That's basically pointless.

Microsoft Lumia phone with monthly OS and Firmware update, same as Surface.

Hardware: snapdragon 805, 2k display around 5" size max, 2gb+ ram, 64gb storage, MicroSD card slot, 41 megapixel camera with better pixel size than the 1020, removable battery, lanyard hole, grip accessory as on the 1020, 4k video recording at 30fps, 120fps 720p recording, 60fps 1080p recording [of course higher fps if possible]

Less important, but wold be nice: stereo speakers preferably front mounted, dolby 5.1 audio recording, stylus support,
If this phone ever became real I would pay top money for it.

My ideal windows phone would have as close to the below hardware specifications as possible
5.5" AMOLED UHD (or better) display
32 GB internal memory with expandable micro SD slot (up to 128 GB)
4GB Ram
Quad Core Processor (latest and greatest)
Qi Wireless Charging
Lens and 41MP sensor as found on the 1020
Global LTE and GSM frequencies
splash or waterproof
3.2 MP or better front facing camera
Dual external speakers (think HTC One)
2700mAh or greater battery
Bluetooth 4.0LE
Physical design similar to 1520 or Icon using colored aluminum or magnesium body in colors such as blue steel, titanium, rose gold and bronze
Software wise, I love 8.1 as it stands, but would like to be able to snap apps (as in Windows 8/8.1) and have Wacom compatibility.

I'll take my 925, but with expandable memory, 20mp camera, & quad-core qualcom processor. Keep the 5 inch display, 4.5 is perfect for me.

I like to see devices in three things, and all of them are equally important.

1. Specs: S800 or greater, RAM at least 2 gigs, internals preferably 64 gigs, but -32-okay-with-sd-slot-. and I had this idea: a 41 mp pureview with a 4mp duo camera to capture 3d images! screen must be AMOLED, i dont want 1080p but a decent ppi and a decent battery

2. Software: Just a WP which can snap apps like we do on Windows 8 desktop, and for the love of lord microsoft please bring all your services worldwide not US only.

3: Aesthetics: Screen no larger than 5 inch but preferably 4.5, rounded body just like Lumia 800, the camera hump of 1020, two bottom mounted speakers and charger at the centre. and I'd love (read I must have) the flaps on charger, audio jack and sim tray not unlike Lumia 800, don't ask for water proofing but it'd be cool. the screen need not be flat, the rounder the better (like the display is on top of a dome)

If this device comes true, I'd marry it and die a happy man.

without getting unrealistic

#Lumia 1020 design , a little thicker to fit the internals , in a range of colours including , cyan , green , red , orange , yellow , black and white
#snapdragon 805 chipset with 3gb ram and decent gpu
#4.5"--5" 1080p screen with clear black display etc
#usb in and tv out via mhl connection
#two base models for different markets 32gb+micro sd and 64gb=micro sd
#brighter xenon flash with variable flash settings like slow shutter sync and red eye reduction
#larger sensor then in the 1020 and maybe even the 808 with same 41mp making the pixels bigger for better night time shots , the larger sensor would also allow more light
#improved optics/optics build to eliminate side softness issues in some 1020 builds
#nd filter bought back like the 808 to help with slower shutter speeds in the day (flowing water etc)
#improved rich recording like the 1520 or maybe even better
#nanotech waterproofing so we can use our phones in the rain and nokia take sonys title of best waterproof phone
#larger battery and if possible removable so I can carry a spare on heavy photo shooting days

pretty much all above could be possible with the 1020 successor if nokia go all guns blazing and build a great camera flagship for all of us 1020 photographic lovers :) the 805 is coming soon , the screens are out now , they could use the 808 size sensor if they didn't want to go to big but still bigger then the 1020 , rumour has it that future phones will support usb in and miracast , the build of the optics should be looked at all the time to see if it can be improved , nanotech waterproofing has been out a while now and saves having flaps everywhere , the 808 had a nd filter , a micro sd slot is a must after 8.1 supporting apps to sd card and raw photos etc

id be very happy to see a device like the above and like I say its not really a dream device , everything is there for it to be made ........ I can hope ey ;-)

In terms of appearance - Something similar to the Zune HD in terms of style and materials, but keep it light and thin.

20mp or higher camera

5" screen with minimal space used for bezel

internals would be whatever is top of the line at the time of production.
