Transfer saved passwords from WP8 to WP8.1

Hello.
I wish to update my phone to WP8.1, but I have this doubt in my mind.. Will an update keep my IE settings/cookies intact? I have a lot of stored passwords for website logins and I do not wish to lose it. Do these cookies get deleted on updating a phone to 8.1?
Note: I have backup for "apps + settings" switched on and it shows that the last backup was taken on Friday. However, when I checked on OneDrive, it only showed my laptop backup in Settings. Is that a cause of concern?
Please help.

You can save your passwords in IE11. If you're talking about the saved logins, as far as I know, the update will clear your cache. You better start remembering your passwords.
(Apps + Settings in WP8 will only back up your app list and settings.)

Thank you for the reply. It would have been great if it had retained my saved passwords.
Is there anyone here who managed to migrate their saved passwords to wp8.1?

pdated my phone to 8.1 and then to update 1. It did not clear IE's cache and my passwords were retaiined
