Lost password for WP 8.1 Preview

I lost my password for my HTC 8S. It has the 8.1 dev preview, and the way to do a hard reset has apparently changed from WP 8. If anyone has any info on this or knows how to recover a password, it would really help. Thanks!

I'm sorry but are you trying to say that your phone was on 8.1 and after hard reset it's back to WP8?

The password can't be recovered, so a hard reset is in order.

Unfortunately, I cant remember the procedure via hardware keys.
I will search a bit...

I swear last time i read the first post it did not make any sense to me but reading it now and my comment looks dumb lol

Thanks for the info and help guys, but it still didn't work. I may try to get onto a Chat with a MS Representative and ask them if they know how. If not, I think the last resort is to wait till 8.1 is public. They'll probably have a sequence for it then

Are you able to erase the phone from find my phone? Or does that require the pin?
