For Apple it's pretty easy to roll out updates to just one device from one manufacture vs. Microsoft, where there are multiple devices from multiple manufactures; it makes it a little harder to roll out without causing issues. Google has the same issue with Andriod as well, multiple devices from multiple manufactures.
