which one better l2tp/ipsec or ikev2?

Trying L2TP/IPSec with Synology and L920 with Cyan. No dice. Android device connects fine, but L920 keeps trying to connect and basically completely freezes up to the point you have to reboot and hurry in to shut it off.

In L2TP VPN connection please ensure UDP port 1701 is not blocked by your internet provider or on your Wifi router otherwise you more likely to get error 800 and 809.

Hello error is with VPN providers usually.
Private Internet Access just overhauled their servers to make them work with Windows Phone.
They are a good mob because they are only $40 US per year (currently $32 with a 20% off facebook promo) and Torrentfreak etc rave about them

Just for those who need to know. I just got the popular ExpressVPN to work L2TP/IPsec on my lumia 830. They give out the manual setup information on their site for customers and it seems to work good. Now, I do have a strong WiFi connection, so I do not know how well it will work on a poor one.
