Wifi settings missing

I have a lumia 925 with cyan and the gdr1 update..
Does anyone know how to turn Wifi to always on? I go to wifi then manage and the option just isn't there. The only option I have is to allow the wifi to work out my location. Everything else has disappeared??

wi-fi is always on by default.
it used to be the opposite in older versions, but then the option was added, now its back to missing, but the default is always on.
