How to delete all or several phone contacts in windows phone 8.1?

How to delete all or several contacts from windows phone. and I did not sync anything at all , just i want to delete them all. thanks

I would sync it to my MS account and delete it via web interface - people.live.com. This will be synchronized back to your phone then.

They are probably synced already. So go to your live account >people and delete from there. You should be able to select multiple contacts

Mine happened reverse. I deleted all contacts via web interface. Then I synchronisd my phone. Instead of those contacts getting deleted from phone, they were back on people.live.com account. Rather than deleting from phone, it put them back to web account. Ridiculous. Even my whatsapp is not refreshing favourites. All this happening after upgrading to 8.1, really don't know what Microsoft did.
