Windows phone 8.1 battery issues on Lumia 520

Hi, I'm using nokia lumia 520 with windows 8.1 OS. I'm having huge battry problems.When I charge my mobile upto 40% it jumps to 100% .and when I plug off the mobile from charging and use it till 60% ,it drops to 0% and mobiles shuts down .I tried to install a new battry but it's still the same.Any help would be great.

try a soft reset
- don't know the specifics of your device, so you have to search for 'soft reset' w your device

My lumia 520 battery is now almost useless. It doesn't make it through the night and then needs charging again during the day - not even two years old.

Hmm - Im actually happy with the battery performance of my 520. Did you all do the usual restarts, soft reboots, that stuff? If so - did this all just occur with the software update? Did you make sure that some things didnt get turned back ON after the updates? Ive seen this happen with many devices after updates.
