Word and .pdfs with Windows Phone 8.1

Ok. I love opening a .pdf in MS Word, because then I can change the format and font to something that is easier for me to read.
I then thought that this would also be helpful for the phone because .pdf books on the phone are so small in the fount size. That is, open up the book in MS word on the phone and then make the font bigger and then easier to read. However, on my new Lumia 830 I noticed that the Office app will not open up .pdfs. Is this MS Word feature not available on the phone? If not, is there app than can open and make the fonts bigger on .pdf books?

yeah even i tried this, just downloaded the adobe reader app , but didn't find any option to increase font size.

No, you cannot open pdf using office in WP.

I noticed the official app for Adobe Reader gives you the option to purchase a $2.00 monthly subscription in order to be able to convert .pdfs to word or rich text formats, so that, according to their app one will be able from word to enlarge the text and read it better.
Is there a free way to do this

Is there any new news about if the new office updates and windows 10 mobile will be able to open .pdf documents into MS Word, the way the desktop version does?
