Blu Win Jr 8.1 stuck at July 8.1 update

So i bought a blu win jr not too long ago and while trying to update, i got an error, i dont remember what the error is but soon after the phone is stuck at os ver 8.10.12400.899 dispite reports of a new versions. how do i get new updates? simply going to the phone update in setting does nothing

Doing a soft reset first is worth a try. If that doesn't work and you have no better option, backup and try a hard reset. Any chance BLU has something similar to Nokia's Recovery Tool?
