M...I, for one, would much rather stick a pen in my left eye and twirl it around repeatedly than ever have to use a phablet device. Obviously, YMMV.
I hope that is only figuratively...
18 or 20 months ago I was using a 2.7" screen on an HP Veer. I swore size was no big deal and I'd never need such a big screen.
Obviously the following is just my experience and anyone is free to have a differing opinion, but... Once you start using larger screens they grow on you. Smaller screens do indeed become unacceptable. I quickly jumped up in screen size
only in a pursuit of other specs. Once I crossed the 4.5" threshold though I found my perspective change and small screens just would not serve any longer. But 6"? I still scoffed. I crossed another threshold when I got a 1520. I don't think I could go back and be happy with 4.5" any longer.
IMHO, the screen itself is a desirable feature and well worth the portability issues. P.S.: I don't wear jeans hardly ever... Maybe that makes life with a 6" screen phone easier.
My Mileage Does Vary.
