Why is my os size so large

I`ve been using lumia phone 8.1 for more than 1 year ,its been only few months i started experiencing problems with my phone ,the system size is showing 6.1 gb . Anybody experiencing same problem,or is it normal size,if not whats the solution,

and even if i sound as an ***** is it a virus ....................

It's not a virus.

I hope you're using settings->storage sense to see the size of your System folder. If you're using the old Nokia Storage Check, it'll give you the wrong figures.

nope i am using latest nokia storage sense,and if if makes any sense my sd card is showing errors and whenever i switch on my phone.i gave scan and fix option but that didnt work out,from then i started ignoring the alert.i can acess my apps well no problem whatsoever .
and for your info i am using a class 4 sd card. is there a problem with that

I have the same issue I find clearing temporary files even though it says 0 bits in temporary files it'll drop down to anywhere between 5.6 and 5.9 GBs on my 930

sorry i slipped on that ,i started using windows 8.1 just when the devoloper issue was released
