Hi all. I used a Windows Vista to upgrade to Windows 8 when it came out.
Now, several years later, I bought new harware to upgrade my PC and I cant find my Vista CD. My question: Can I use any Vista, a friend happened to have a old Vista lying around, and use to upgrade to Windows 8? And since I bought a Windows 8 CD use that instead of downloading it and make a clean install.

You need your licence keys. The way you install doesn't matter
