So what apps are desperately needed in your Windows Phone?

Have been using iPhones for 5 years and recently switched Lumia 930. From everything Apple to everything Microsoft now.

Basically I only use some major apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, LINE, Wechat, which are all available on Windows Store and they all work fine.,

My carrier company does not provide any app for Windows Store. So now I cannot easily check my data and voice usages. My favourite calendar+tasks app, Pocket Informant, is also not available on Windows Store.

So what apps are missing for you? I know the use of apps is quite personal but I want to know big picture - what apps so desperately needed are not available in Windows Store?

Nothing for me, but it seems that a lot of people miss banking apps for their preferred bank. I use Ally Bank, which is online only and has a decent WP app.

Yeah, I would say banking apps. But I gotta feeling that they will comeback with Windows10. I still wanna see SiriusXM come onboard though.

I'm not very desperate I would like to see really good media casting apps that work with any of the popular HDMI dongles.

Desperate? None really. (If I were desperate, I wouldn't be using Windows phone lol)

Would prefer to have, but don't care either way? HBO, SiriusXM, and Huntington bank.

You can track data usage worth Data Sense, which is built in.

Pushile ! Pushbullet app.....no more cables ever!

As far as apps go...coming from android phones and tablets....

Mr. Number
A good file explorer
GrooVeIP
Torque
Huntington Bank app
GPS Test

Then I would be more than good to go for a long haul with my Icon paying less than $30 per month on a Verizon mvno plan.

For the wheater there are plenty good apps, like Umbrella8, WeatherPremium, or even Cortana itself, for example.
For a file explorer, Microsoft did a good job and made a good one.
The other apps I don't know what they do, so for the moment I can't say anything. For the bank apps, I don't live in US so can't say anything either.

Desperately? None. I switched from iPhone a couple of weeks ago and I'm getting along fine. As others have mentioned, though, it would be nice to have my bank's app. I've contacted them and they say they have no plans to develop a Windows app. Sigh.

The only other apps I miss at all are Amazon Music (for streaming Prime albums) and Riff Master Pro (the best song-learning app for musicians).

Not a must have, but I did miss Deer Hunter when I came over to WP. Life would be complete if I could have that to waste untold hours again.
