Internet not working on Microsoft Lumia 435

I have this brand new Microsoft Lumia 435, but I am not able to get internet working on it. Surprisingly the Phone Notification bar displays "H" Icon indicating 3G connection availability, but strangely the internet does not work. Here are a few things worth noting.

1. The notification bar shows H icon.
2. I have tried the Hard Reset, but still could not get it working
3. Wifi Sense is turned Off
4. Mobile Data Connection is set to On
5. Windows Version : 8.1 Update
6. The SIM may not be faulty, because 3G worked on my previous phone

Can anyone please help me resolve this internet connection issue.

Are you in roaming?? Did you change settings from don't roam to roam???

Have you saved the network configuration provided by your carrier? If not you need to ask for the network settings from your carrier and they will send it through SMS. Save the settings sent. And your internet should work fine.

I changed the APN settings manually and it now works fine.
