Blacks and whites are reveresed upon a reset - self-corrects at some point

Odd situation. On my Surface RT every time I would reboot the blacks and whites are reversed in IE. Black text is white and not readable on white backgrounds, the menus for settings etc are black background meaning I can't read the black text. At some point it self-corrects and everything is fine.

I got a Surface 3 yesterday and imported the settings from my RT and the problem carried over. I'm assuming its an IE setting somewhere, but I'm not really sure what I would have changed to create this problem.

Attached is an example. The text is supposed to be black and the menu on the right is supposed to be white background.

Another example. There is supposed to be text in those boxes, but it's white for some reason and not readable on the white background. The input boxes on the left are supposed to be white.

At some point in the next 30 minutes / 1 hour those will be back to normal.

Apparently not just IE. Here's an email too. The email text has turned white and is unreadable on the white background.

It appears that changing the theme fixed it apparently. Strange.
