my lumia 625 has just started getting hang recently. It just stops responding some times and i have to lock & unlock phone to start working. But, from tomorrow it is getting frequent and doesn't work 80% of times. Now, my notification center is not opening, i am not able to open or swipe down the notification center.

I tried soft reset but doesn't help. I have recently updated my WP8.1 to WP8.1 update.

Current OS Version: 8.10.14234.375
Firmware revision number: 3058.50000.1424.0003

Do a HARD reset....Setting > about > Reset my phone

You'll wipe your current data but if you backup you can restore when your done resetting.

I have read so many blogs on this issue. They said Hard Reset doesn't help.
I am thinking to try once but not sure if that is going to help. Don't really want to cleanup everything and re-install all. :'(

Hey jefbeard911,

I did the hard reset but it didn't help the cause. I am still facing the issue . :'(

So it's not a software problem.
It could be a hardware problem, did you recently replace your touch screen or dropped your phone or did it become wet?

i got my touch changed a month before and it was working fine from that time. It started y/d only.

Then I would suggest to go back to the shop which replaced it and ask them if they can explain why the touch screen does "not" work again.
Maybe they did not attach it good in the connector or use a faulty replacement part.
