How to stay on Lumia Black - Lumia 820

Hi guys,

I know this is a wierd question but I want my mum's Lumia 820 to stay on Lumia Black because of the stability problems.

Sometimes she complains about touchscreen is frozen etc. Stability is more important than the new features for her.

Therefore, I decide to downgrade to Lumia Black or at least Lumia Cyan which is more stable than Lumia Denim. Also you know that Windows 10 Mobile is on its way and lots of UI changes which will be bad for her.

I downgraded to Lumia Black but it checks the firmware updates automatically and everyday it asks for update the firmware. This is also distracting.

The question is how can I stay on Lumia Black without updating it. On Lumia Black there is no "do not check updates" feature. Microsoft removed it when phones updated from Lumia Amber to Black.

I can also flash the phone and change the product code.

Is there anyone knows how to close checking updates automatically or product codes that stucked in Lumia Black or Lumia Cyan for RM-825?

I just checked Microsoft's software update pages and I couldn't find any RM-825 (non-US/MX/CN) model that was stuck on Black or Cyan. Apparently all 820s have received Denim. Unless you can find Lumia Amber packages and flash them with Nokia Care Suite or Phoenix, I don't think there's much that you can do... Though I suggest just going for Windows 10 when it becomes available.

Actually I found some product codes that stuck on Cyan. For example Costa Rica, but I cannot find product code exacly. Because Microsoft does not show the Product code in their site. It gives only the information.

Ok, I checked all countries. I have got one Black but unfortunately its RM-824. Is there any chance to flash the phone with RM-824?

RM-824, if it works, will probably break 4G radio firmware. 059S023 is the product code.
