What's a cheap phone without a Windows OS?

It looks like I somehow pocket called a number and a website tells me "Around 50% of people reported it as "Scammer/Fraudster." I never called that number before. It happened after I put the phone in my back pocket. 30 seconds later I heard a recording that said to press 1 if I want to be added to the do not call list. I didn't press anything. But I had enough of things like this. I have a Nokia 520. It's really cheap and doesn't even have a tradein value. Are there any other phones this cheap to buy, no contract, with a different OS?

Why don't you just block the number? Truecaller offers that feature.

You probably won't find anything that cheap unless you get a feature phone.

My phone has that feature, but it told me it was an outgoing call. I blocked it anyway but it's looking like my phone is infected with something. No, I don't want to reset anything. I don't trust any apps because of the TOS most of them have about accessing all kinds of things that shouldn't be necessary. I received texts even with the number blocked, the phone rings to tell me to sync stuff if I have a Microsoft account...I just about had enough.

There is no known malware for Windows Phone.

There also is nothing to prevent you from accidentally dialing a number with any phone, even a landline.

Feature phones do not even have any way of blocking numbers, unless you do that on the carrier's end, but there are probably fees for that.

Even if you get an Android, you'll need to use an app to block unwanted calls/texts. There aren't any Androids that are $46, which is what the 520 is selling for now.

I believe an app called the number, or maybe somehow my carrier did it. I wish there was a "how did this happen" button that could tell me whether there were screen presses of the number or whatever. I don't believe I literally pocket dialed it. I want a water resistant phone anyway. And preferably shock resistant.

IPhone is cheaply built...its nice and flexable, so that's a cheap phone without windows on it.

I still think OP may have done some butt dialing.

I know I did some butt photography a while back.

As for iPhones, they are not cheap - they hold their value very well if anything. You're looking at spending approximately $100 for one that isn't too out of date, the 4s, but performance isn't hot. (they're built quite well, being premium phones and all)

Windows Phone is hands down the best option for bottom-of-the-bargain-bin smartphonery, however if we have a budget increase to up around $80+ there begins to be some decent also-carrier-locked Android phones like the Moto E, and perhaps some BLU options. But software updates remains an issue.

A water and shock resistant phone will cost money, even a proper case will, which won't exist for most cheaper costing phones. Get a Lumia 640, use the baked in call blocker. Are you looking to port the number or get a new number? I really think sticking with Windows phone, wether keeping or changing your number, is the safest and most secure. A reset would be the easiest option, as it's not much different than getting a new device. A reset would also rid you of any unsavory apps, although I think the web browser and a linked number are the only culprit for a true buttocks, heh, dial of an unknown number.
