What does this mean? For $200 you could possibly get everything you need all in one device. Don't scoff. Don't be jaded. If you are dubious, this device is not aimed at you, IMHO.

For many in the developing nations they will have one device, and one device only, for their computing needs. They will save up. And then that device has to work its butt off for years. An 8 inch screen is a huge boost over traditional phones for productivity - and yes, this device can send and receive telephony either through speaker phone or via Bluetooth headsets (and it is BT 4.1 efficient) or even a wired headset with a mic. Since it runs W10M it will have Office free for life with a screen size of less than 10".

Sure, it's not a powerhouse with just 1GB RAM and a Snapdragon 210. But what budget phone is? This device stacks up side by side with many phone offerings in the budget field. And they clocked the SD 210 @ 1.3 GHz, which is faster than we usually see this SoC run on Windows Phones - mostly it gets underclocked to 1.2 GHz from the Qualcomm stated max of 1.4. Another small leg up. Throw in 8 GB of storage and a microSD slot and there is room to grow on the device.

Now imagine you can only have one device. It has to do everything. Phone calls, email, chat, document production and editing. Maybe you have to run a small business or study hard at school to get ahead. Possibly both. You have to go all day. 4060 mAh will help out when combined with a pretty efficient SoC, a small footprint OS that still packs punch and an IPS screen that seems balanced between good viewing and reasonable power consumption (not too many pixels).

For many, who have to choose between a phone and a tablet for their only computing power, this may very well be the best move to make.

And hey, for those who don't have to choose, it could still be a really neat device to add to their arsenal.
