I recently bought a Zenbook Pro UX501VW (i7-6700HQ, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD, 4K Non-Touch monitor, Intel HD530 + GTX960M, Windows 10 Home 1511).

I upgraded the OS to Windows 10 Pro 1511 using my own retail key, if that matters. I didn't reinstall the OS, I just used the standard Pro key to upgrade, and then put in mine.

Now, the problem is that my TV (which works with my TATA Sky Satellite box and worked with my old laptop in Windows 8.1) doesn't connect as a display.

The 2nd display is detected as "Sony Digital Television" and the resolution is correctly detected as 1920X1080. However no mode (Only 2nd display, Duplicate, Extend, Setting TV as primary display) makes the TV actually display anything or play any sound. I've tried everything, and don't know what to do!

The TV also shows an input icon on the selected HDMI port.

Hi,

Also check the connectivity option setting on your TV. Select it to HDMI option (You might find HDMI 1/2) . If that is also not working, then check your TV's ;latest software update.

If that doesn't work as well, then i guess you might be missing some drivers that supports HDMI connectivity.

Thnx!
