Chill, everyone sees good ideas and puts them in their own products.

I think you're stretching it for a few also.

But let us not forget Windows Phone took one from android too. Notifications is strangely reminiscent of android.

And don't get me started on how MS has been influenced by Android in their latest apps and their wretched hamburger menus.

Does it matter? If it's a feature that improves the user experience, then implement it. Focus on the user experience.

Android is OpenSource. Microsoft can use whatever they wish, but they cannot exactly copyright everything they produce. Luckily it's secure, that's all I care about.

Also Android, iOS, Windows Phone will always struggle with design unless they keep doing some sort of copying.

Android has stolen from its beginning and always will - see pictures of it before the iPhone then after iPhone launched for example. They steal what ever they please and will continue to do so to further their data mining virus.

In mobile, everyone copies each other. But what it really comes down to is how much will this "new" feature or service improve upon the OS it's being implemented in. Looking at all OSes currently available, some knock it out the park others are hit and miss. I for one don't see how the Android app drawer being vertical improves the overall experience.

I've got to ask OP. What volume control has been stolen by Android? Cause until 8.1, volume control was a sore point for all WP8 users. We finally get a modicum of volume control, but it falls far short of Android 4.4, never mind L or M.
