The State of Mobile Device Performance and Health: Q1 2016

In the first quarter of 2016, we have learned that Android devices are prone to high rates of device failures, crashing apps and app cache. Download The State of Mobile Device Performance and Health report to understand additional key insights from Q1 2016 including:

?There was a glaring disparity in Android device failure rates (44 percent) and iOS failure rates (25 percent).

?Out of the 44 percent of Android devices that failed, the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Lenovo K3 Note models had the highest failure rates.

?Out of the 25 percent of iOS devices that failed, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s models had the highest failure rates ? at 25 percent and 17 percent, respectively.

?Crashing apps were detected on 74 percent of Android devices, while open/cached apps were found on 44 percent of Android devices.

?Device failure rates were significantly higher in Asia (55 percent) than in North America (27 percent) and Europe (35 percent).

That's very interesting, thanks for sharing.

Kind of surprised that one of the highest failures for Android is the s6 considering how "popular" that phone is/was, and also that it came out last year too, at that.

Apple is slightly better because the 5s is nearly 3 years old, and the 6 is nearly 2 years old. However, how is it acceptable for a device barely 2 years old to fail? Regardless, it's still super interesting.
