Windows 10 is on many different computers and tablet devices provided the hardware meets ms specs.
What prevents windows 10 from being installed on Android phones, assuming hardware is compatible?
I know that ms is doing so on a Chinese phone un China.

Phones are a lot different than the relatively open nature of PCs.

1. The bootloader may be locked, which is obstacle one.
2. The drivers for bits and pieces in the phone are proprietary and often not available to see how they work. Windows may not be able to talk to the hardware. You'd need manufacturer cooperation to make 10 available, which has happened with one of Xiaomi's phones, but most manufacturers don't care.

3. I had more but I forgot...

I see, too bad. My wife and son each have a LG G3 that would be great on win 10.

I watched some video on guys doing remote access and dual boot, but I would like just win 10.

then you have the option of getting a windows 10 mobile device such as the 950 or 950xl which are just as good as the G3 if not better

I would consider a 950xl. Microsoft doesn't want to support CDMA anymore. In my area where I live and work GSM (att, tmobile) just don't have good enough coverage. Plus I have been with my carrier 17 years and have full unlimited for less then most 2gig plans.

I don't know what carrier you are on but if you are on Verizon, why not the Icon? Apparently W10M is running well there.

Sprint, they have treated me well and service good.
G3 has bigger screen, more ram and faster processor.
I ccurrently have a Lumia 635 running 10.586.494 not working well at all, and a HTC 8xt on 8.1.
