The photo contest is back, and we've changed things up once again. We took a week off last week with it being the Easter holiday weekend for many of us on the Mobile Nations team. But now we're going to change it up again and we're giving more people more time to enter. The contests will now each run for two weeks, and we're going to try out some new prizes along with it.

You'll find all of the relevant information below. But onto this weeks topic, Water. Something commonplace in life, yet that still lends to taking many different styles of shot. The one up top is a quick sample I took this past weekend with the Lumia 640 XL on a gloomy afternoon. But you guys will certainly do better.

Rules

Rules are going to be just like last week. Here they are:

- Picture must be taken with a Windows Phone
- Picture must be uploaded to the contest thread (linked below)
- You have to tell us what device you used to take the picture, and any special software or apps you might have used. Editing your pictures is fine, this is art
- Feel free to add a little back story, we want to know how the picture came to be
- You must have used a valid email address to register here at Windows Central, so I know how to contact the winner
- Only ONE entry per week per person

How to use Tapatalk to post images in the Windows Central forums

We've got a handy guide for that!

Social

We're going to continue our social sharing of entries. Share any pictures you take for the contest on Instagram, Twitter and Fhotoroom using the following hashtags. It's a fun way to at a glance check out your competition and get inspiration. Plus we're building a community of Windows Phone mobile photographers!

Here's how it looks this week.

- #WCpc
- #WaterWC

This doesn't count as your entry; it's just a fun way to track the photos on social media. Your entry still needs to be in the forums!

Prize

We're changing up the prizes a little bit from now on. This weeks winner will get an LG Tone Pro Bluetooth headset courtesy of the Windows Central Store.

We'll pick a winner next Saturday night (April 25) at 11:59 PM ET. Winners will be announced in a blog post for the next contest

We are less than one week away from the anniversary date of the OKC Bombing so I thought this would be an appropriate photo to share. This photo was taken last month with my Lumia 1020, edited in Photoshop. It is an appropriately solemn photo to commemorate a solemn day in our history.

This photo was taken with a Lumia 822. No editing was done to this photo at all except for a little cropping. I was on the beach in Brigantine, NJ for a surf fishing tournament and took this pic of the pre dawn colors over the ocean.

Nokia Lumia 920
No editing.

Honestly, most of my water shots are, while they look nice, outgunned by those I see already.

Seagulls Flying, photo taken with my Nokia Lumia 930 at the beach during sunset in Portugal. Just cropped and edited it a bit with the basic Photo app on my PC. As you can see there were several photographers trying to snap some cool photos! :)

This is a photo taken with a Nokia Lumia 1020 while filming in northern Iceland. Everywhere I go I bring the 1020 to photograph and video the behind the scenes stuff. We film a low budget travel show that airs in Canada. The fellow to the right is a guy we met from Bali, great guy.

The beside the scenes footage we shot with the 1020 is being made into a 29 minute episode which will to air in Canada this summer, the whole episode on a 1020!

Photo : Taken with a Nokia 1020, 1/250 sec, f 2.2, ISO 100, tweaked in Adobe Lightroom.

Posted for Fun : We loved Iceland, here is a picture of us at the MS office in Iceland with a big Nokia 1020 sign!

This was taken last year around September with a Lumia 1520. The place is Second Beach in Vancouver, Canada.
I was jogging along the shoreline and saw this beautiful sunset and the reflection in the water. The dying light and the calmness of the water is just a wonderful experience.
