    Hi everyone,

I own a Lumia 920 and I use to take pictures with the Nokia Camera app. Recently, I noted that the app started to produce two copies of the same image just like it does on the Lumia 1020 after an update. One is a low-size image and the other the full-res image.

The problem is, whenever I try to edit an image taken with Nokia Camera, the lower res image is used. I use apps like Camera360, Nokia Creative Studio, Fhotoroom etc. but every app uses the same low-res image instead of the high-res one. I can't in anyway figure out a way to edit the high-res images on my phone itself without going to my PC.

I want to know whether there is any solution to this or is there any way to disable this (which I guess is not possible). Because if it keeps doing so, I might have to switch to the default camera app (which still keeps taking high-res images) even though it sucks to leave Nokia Camera.

Also, is it necessary for this "two-copy" method to come to Lumia 92X users as we currently produce just <5MB pics? It would work with Lumia 1020 and Lumia 1520 but I really don't think a 1280*720 pixel photo would do much good.

I tried Nokia Camera Beta and there's no such problem here. It saves the image in just high-res mode. Hence, I'm able to edit the high-res image directly from my phone using 3P apps. But for the images taken with Nokia Camera, the apps use the 1280*720 pixel one. The high-res is totally masked from these apps.

    No replies yet? Anyone?

Okay, so I tried deleting the low-res images (backed up) from the phone completely and keep the high-res ones only. But now, those photos are not being shown in my Camera Roll even though they're still there. I tried restarting the phone but the photos were still not there.

Then I tried renaming the high-res photos and saving it to Camera Roll. Now, the photos are being shown. But this is quite a cumbersome job and I have a lot of photos too. So, renaming all them is not gonna do and it could remove the Nokia Camera tag.

Sheesh. Everything was perfect at first and after this, I'm left with only the low-res 1280*720p photos on my phone. Isn't there any solution to keep just the high-res images on my phone and remove the low-res images without having to rename every photo?

    Someone please comment.

I am also having a problem with my Lumia 920. When I first got my phone and take pictures using default camera, I use camera360 for adding effects and it uses the high res pictures. I became interested using Nokia Camera App so I installed and take pictures with it then I edit it using camera360. When I check my Camera Roll on my Computer, the edited pictures just used the low res pics which is not good. I hope there is a solution for this.

As the title said. Nokia Camera App creates low and high resolution pictures in Camera Roll folder in windows explorer.
If you edit a pictures in your phone using a camera360 or any camera effects software taken using Nokia Camera App, it uses the low resolution picture instead of the high resolution picture.
    That is a problem. :(

This is not case when I use the default camera which only creates high resolution pictures. I do not want to go back to the default one because I prefer the Nokia Camera App because of the better focus and more control.

I hope someone helps us. I am using Nokia Lumia 920

I just started playing around w/ the Lumia 1020 for a photography project and was wondering the same exact thing. All my photog counter parts are at a lose on how to work w/ the high res files as well on the actual device and they've been at this for much longer than I.

I think the only way to get at the high res files is via a pc!
