    I have a problem in my conn s GT-I8750, whenever the carrier signal drops from 3G to EDGE sends an SMS Broadcast, this is very annoying.
    Already deactivated in Messagens Advanced Text, and yet continued to receive these messages.
    I do not know what else to do, I have spoken with Samsung and informed me that I turn off advanced text in message, but it did not work, can someone help me?

    Have you contacted your carrier? I have never heard of this "advanced text". It sounds like something that is specific to certain carriers, since I have AT&T and don't see any "advanced text".

    It's a feature that comes with an ATIV S phone, so it's more device-specific than carrier-specific, I believe. The carrier may not be of all that much help since they may even be unaware of it.

    already got in touch with the operator in Brazil live here, and nothing was done.

    This item is in settings> advanced text messages: Enable CB message reception

    in my mobile even get off the MESSAGES

    Hey all,

    I have the same problem here, I've foud a way to uninstall the advanced text settings app from my phone but the problem still persists

    Try it if it work

    On Setting section select date+time option and change it manually, choose a date from 100 years ahead (I put 2015)
    Then, back to the settings section and try to open advanced message settings
    It will give an advice that the app is old and if wyou want to purchase or uninstall the app
    Click unistall and the app will be ereased
    Turn back the date to automatic to correct the year

    Be careful to not unistall other apps since your date is in the future.

    It didn't work for my situation. I still have the messages. I'm trying to flash a new ROM on my Ativ S using the CSC ZVV (specif for the Vivo carrier on Brazil)
