GDR2 on Ativ S

It's not a lie though, I said that it's available for all Windows Phones. I didn't say it's available for all countries, did I?

Its not available for ALL wp8 devices, that's a fact and we could agree on that . I can come up with a lot of stupid metaphors and example but I just gave up on my ativ s and feel too sad to argue
I'll just buy drive+ instead of whining . I must look like a boring and negative figure..sorry

Why would it be a contradiction, it's available for ALL Windows Phone but not in all countries!!!!!

You don't need a driver. Just connect the phone via USB. You can install Windows Phone App if you want to sync pictures and videos but it works just fine without it. Windows Phone app for desktop (Preview 3) | Windows Phone 8 | Windows Phone How-to | Windows Phone (United States)

Second driver worked for me, but you need to disable digital signature verification: How to disable driver signing requirement in Windows 8

Try one more time, make sure to uninstall driver, restart computer, install driver, then start program, next start phone in download mode, then plug in to computer, now run will take a little while. Hopefully that works

Hold power button, volume up, and camera button, all three until vibration after windows phone screen, then let go of power button only, continue holding volume up and camera buttons. After next vibration let go of other two buttons, you should now have download mode screen. Hope that helps.

Don't give up easily. Honestly, it doesn't need a driver for Windows OS. MTP usb driver should be ready in Windows OS.
Is it not working since the very first day? If not, I would remove the existing USB driver in the device manager and let it re-install again.

I have an unlocked unbranded one bought from amazon.de shipped from Italy. Installed GDR2 the day I got it. Was two weeks ago.
